These are a collection of images rendered using the excellent, free software, J-WildFire. Some were created many years ago using Apophysis, but all were rendered in J-WildFire. My main render machine is an aging 2010 Mac Pro (2 x 2.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 16GB DDR3, ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB) for those interested. Configured for exceptionally fine detail and resolution, render times are typically anywhere from 12 to 48 hours in 4K format, depending on the complexity of the fractal. Output consists of the flame file itself, a normal .PNG file (usually with transparency enabled) and an HDR image, which can be used for further processing and refinement.
